Troubleshooting - Viewer
This help section provides details on how to troubleshoot if the CrossLoop Application is failing to launch the viewer that allows you to see the remote computer. These are the most common reasons for the viewer not working properly:
I am Using Another VNC Program
If you receive a message saying "Another instance of WINVNC is running" the computer must have another VNC program installed and running. CrossLoop installs and uses
TightVNC which may not function at the same time as other VNC programs, so these must be stopped before CrossLoop will work.

Windows Defender is on
If you are using Windows Vista on the Share computer a slow connection could be caused by Windows Defender placing TightVNC in quarantine. When this happens performance will be very slow and erratic. To solve this problem follow these steps:
- Open Windows Defender
- Click on the "Tools" menu item at the top of the page
- Open "Quarantine"
- If you see RemoteAdminTightVNC in quarantine please change the action to take to "Allow"
