Complete Profile
Your CrossLoop profile is your face online. Customers choose a particular Expert only after looking at his/her profile. Thus, sporting a complete profile is of utmost importance. CrossLoop provides you enough (if not excess!) room to use all your creativity to impress your customers through your profile. Here are some tips to make the best use of your profile:
Expand your reach with the Expanded Text Feature:
The Profile will have lot of space for you to let customers know you. Utilize this fully customizable space to bring out your special skills, proficiency and specialties. Enter any information about yourself which might interest customers. You can add information like
- Your education.
- Work experience
- Academic and work related projects.
- Corporate customers
- Research papers
- Professional society membership, etc.
Think of this as a resume to impress your customers - Hence, the key is sporting a targeted resume which will instill confidence in you. Have lot of keywords as this helps you to appear in search results of popular search engines when people type in those keywords. (Rule: More related keywords, more the search engines crawl into your profile and more customer traffic!).
Expert Tags:
There are two sets of Expertise tags in the profile namely, Primary Expertise and Other Expertise. Make sure you put your best skills in the Primary Expertise. These tags appear first, when a customer does a CrossLoop search (before even looking at your profile). However, this has a 50 character limit. So, be choosy on your Primary Expertise tags.
Show off your Certifications!
Customers prefer to work with Experts who are technically sound. In an effort to highlight more of your technical qualifications, we have come up with a Certification Section in the new Profile. You can choose from different certifications from giants like Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, Linux, Dell, etc.
Expanded Rates:
The profile sports an Expanded Rates section. What this means to you is to being able to add as many services as you want and quote a price for each of them. This will help you provide more details to customers wanting specific services. It will be a great idea to create your own customized service packages like a "PC Health Checkup" package or a "Quick Windows 7 training" package, etc. Customers prefer these sorts of predefined services, especially if you offer non-typical services. So get creative and sport your customized packages.
New Expert Banner and Footer:

Link to your LinkedIn and Twitter profiles:
Now customers can connect with you using LinkedIn! This provides an additional chance for you to tell your customers about your professional history and achievements.
If that's not enough, customers can also follow you on Twitter. If you actively tweet about topics that are relevant to your customers, you can ask them to follow you on Twitter. This is a great way to stay connected to your customers and to gain a larger following.
